Important Clinic Notice

We will be closed for any In-Office Treatments through the end of April until further notice.

To our valued patients,

We miss you and can’t wait to see you back in the office. We hope this finds you and yours well in these unprecedented times. We initially hoped to open to see patients again this week but per Gov. Beshear’s orders under KRS 39A we are required to remain closed for a while longer. We have sent out cancellation notices for the next two weeks, but we anticipate having to extend this shut down until the end of April at this point. Like everyone else, we are watching the evening updates and hoping that if nothing else, the medical board might be able to get approval for modified operations with measures such as limited numbers of patients in the waiting area, more aggressive disinfection protocols, a higher level of PPE for practitioners, etc. that would allow us to resume in-office operations. Most states consider basic medical care, including acupuncture, to be essential services and we are supporting the Kentucky State Acupuncture Association (KSAA) in their efforts to liaison with the medical board on this subject. For those who don’t know, I have the privilege of serving as the President of the KSAA at this time. You can find out more about that organization on their website.  They also have a facebook page for sharing items related to public education and acupuncture.

In the interim, we are using the time to do some continuing education. Robert, one of our resident Acupuncturists, is refining his knowledge of FSM and other Estim methods and I am deepening my knowledge of the pharmacological actions of the herbs being used most successfully in China to treat COVID-19, as well as researching alternatives that are more readily available here in the US. So far, those formula modifications are working very well for the patients who need them. As always, we have a wide range of options to help keep your body in top form, boost your immune system, and potentially reduce your chances of getting sick to begin with. We can also use herbs to address allergies, menstrual disorders, digestive problems, pain, anxiety and sleep. We are happy to do a telemedicine consult to determine the best herbs, supplements, and foods for your individual needs. We also have a broad-spectrum spray from Dr. Soliman that may be useful to help tune your immune system against viral invaders and we also have a spray to address the alpha gal allergy. It won’t address any additional allergies triggered by the alpha gal allergy, but it does address the alpha gal specifically. For those of you waiting on your SAAT appointments, that may be an option to start the process until we can get you in for the full treatment. Please contact us for more details.

We are also adding to our online resources for patients with videos like this one: Feeding your Immune System and adding to our website. You can order some of our more popular supplements and formulas directly from the website.

If there is something you would like to see on our “Ask the Acupuncturist” series, or “Real Food Fast” let us know. If you post your topic in the comments of the YouTube video and your topic is selected, we will send you a free package of our pain terminator patches.

Many people have asked us what they can do to help support us during this shut down, which we appreciate immensely, so here are a few things that you can do to help us out!

1) Like (and follow) us on Facebook by going here. If you loved your experience, leave us a review on Facebook. If you didn’t let me know so we can make it right!

2) Don’t do Facebook or want to help more? You can leave us a google review by going here to google maps and scrolling down to where you can leave a review.

3) Visit our website, check out the pages – even if all you do is poke around and take a look – you are helping us out. Hopefully you will find the content useful and entertaining.

4) Encourage your friends and family to check us out as well!

5) Visit our YouTube channel, comment on the videos, let us know what you think, what you want to see more of.

6) Call us if you need anything – we will do what we can via virtual medicine.

7) We have a fledgling Instagram page – be patient with us but if you like Instagram you can find us there as well.

Again, stay safe out there and we hope to see you soon!
